Summer Goals

Happy Tuesday!

As expected, I did not have computer access the entirety of my trip. So, I only got the one post in that I had thought of before I left.

I think I could have possibly made more before I left but I realized I was rather short on material.

I did not post until now today because I still do not have much to write about. My trip was good, but it was all family, not much time for creative expression.

There was time to take pictures of course as usual. This is my cat mint I planted last summer right before the wedding. It grew so much! Unlike my lettuce plants I left here -- they tragically died.

When pondering material today I realized I need to make some goals for myself.

So here goes.

Since I am taking a break from school, I decided quite early on to make sure I was still animating a little bit every day. I started a little new something yesterday with Ballie.

I decided to try and put together some of the skills I've learned recently with Ballie and make him a little maze. Right now it's a simple staircase, but I plan on extending it out as I go. I will probably change up the colors of the maze at some point but for now I liked the blue and orange.

Another goal I have is to keep making those paintings I showed in my last post. Maybe create a little Shutterfly book when I'm done. Still need to finish that flower. Also could use some more paint.

Another thing that I want to tackle at some point is my little apartment. I haven't done much of home improvement since trying to make that couch cover (which still falls to pieces whenever someone sits on it.) Some ideas are to sand and stain our dinning room table/chairs, build some shelves to go with the Dandylion's and my work stations (mine looks rather dreadful at the moment doesn't it?) figure out clever ways to store food and dry laundry, etc. If anyone has small apartment hints I'd love to hear them (already gathered a few handy ones on my trip such as using contact paper on boxes to create nifty storage compartments)

Another goal is to change up my website a little bit. I'm thinking of simplifying, and cleaning it up a little bit. Wix has announced some new improvements that I am curious to check out. Plus, it wouldn't hurt to start looking a tad more professional (oh no, does that mean I should start proof reading my blog posts?)
